Arlington, Texas (December 16, 2013) - Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker International, LLC (Baker), has been selected by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for a Planning, Environmental, and Design Indefinite Deliverable contract with a maximum value of $10 million. Baker was awarded one of 10 contracts and will serve various TxDOT Districts under the two-year term of the contract. Contracts were awarded based on capabilities and experience in delivering projects with flexibility and innovation.

Baker will provide general engineering services necessary to prepare schematics in accordance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements on on-system roadways and bridges, and general engineering services required to prepare plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E), and related documents, for various projects. These services may include, but are not limited to: preparation of right-of-way maps and related documents; schematic design; environmental document preparation; roadway design; bridge design; hydrologic and hydraulic design; traffic signal design; and survey and geotechnical data collection necessary to support the design process.
